Research Career Pathway Awards
These awards will provide a stepping-stone to prestigious, external funding for deserving staff from North Bristol NHS Trust. They will focus on providing research career progression opportunities to Junior Doctors/Medics, as well as Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHPs).
The Research Career Pathway Awards aim to be a critical, achievable step to develop North Bristol NHS Trust staff into the clinical academic research leaders of the future who will, in time, pull in significant research grant revenue for our Bristol-based Hospital.
Applicants will be closely supported by North Bristol NHS Trust’s Research & Development (R&D) team.

Springboard Research Fund
This fund supports North Bristol NHS Trust staff to undertake research projects (max. £50K per project) which could be directly implemented in the NHS, or feed into larger funding bids with the potential for future impact on the NHS. Applications are invited from North Bristol NHS Trust staff, including clinicians and NMAHPs from any clinical area.
Springboard supports staff with a range of experience, from staff with no prior research experience applying for their first research grant, through to an experienced researcher looking to undertake pilot, feasibility, or proof of concept work.
Applicants will be closely supported by North Bristol NHS Trust’s R&D team.
